The moon was almost full on a chilly Saturday night as the annual CWE Halloween ritual unfolded.
People were gathered in the windows of nearby buildings overlooking the mainstage.
And the organizers added a huge video screen to the mix allowing celebrants to see the action up close from just about everywhere.
Crowd-favorite Michael Jackson (Alison Eier) came back from the dead and won first prize in the 2012 Costume Contest.
Second place was awarded to The Invisible Man (Mark Smith), and
Cousin Itt (Chastity Hupp) was the third place winner. Charles Addams would have approved of Itt's fantastic costume.
RIchard Simmons and his buff crew, performed "Sweatin' to the Oldies," above and below, evoking catcalls and whistles from the crowd. They were among the top ten finalists.
The exquisite costumes worn by the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts (Bob & Ashley Yaeger) placed them among the top ten finalists too.
Ellen Garden was resplendent in her Ema Frost costume—even her teeth lit up.
I doubt that you can appreciate Resident Evil "Axle Man's" (Brandon White-Majini) height from the photograph, but he was on stilts and stayed there for the entire evening.
A frustrated Apple customer in his ICage.
Behind the scenes with the Ghostbusters and the Jagermeister Girls.
After the judges, who included Philip Slein (Philip Slein Gallery), Chris Lanter (10denza), Ed Brock & his wife (Johnny Brock's), representatives from sponsors Miller Lite, Red Bull, and Jager submitted their votes, Venus in Flames performed a spectacular fire dance routine while the votes were tallied.
There were some fantastic costumes out in the large audience that covered the intersection of Euclid and Maryland.
Hats off once again to co-producers Frances Thompson and Dennis Gorg for a fabulous Halloween in the CWE.
