There was a display of electric vehicles including a 1974 VW Beetle that had been converted from a gasoline engine to electric power at a cost of $6000.
P.S. The last picture is the best one. Not easy to find these days of hectic commercialization of the Park.
Not sure how much of this had to do with Earth Day! As a clue, there were ATMs about every fifty feet. Like so much, it has become increasingly commercialized and lost its direction. All IMHO of course!
