Terrie & Arnie Robbins, whose Westminster Place garden you'll visit on this blog soon, asked if I posted Lost & Found notices…well, why not?
It's not everyday that a parrot flies into a CWE backyard. That's what happened to a homeowner on Westminster Place Monday. When the parrot returned the next day, she put it in her basement, sent a notice to her neighbors and when no one responded, took it to Kersting Vet Clinic, 314-469-6661.
The vet identified the bird as a Blue-Fronted Amazon Parrot. Described as tame–went right to the hand of a stranger– healthy, broken toe, good weight. A listing on the internet says Blue-Fronted Amazon Parrots have a large vocabulary. Apparently this one doesn't know it's address. Hope someone out there does.
That would have been pretty amazing. Thank you for trying. Love the name Cindy Lou (Who)
I found the picture of the lost cwe bird flier from April. Unfortunately, it was a different bird.
The one from April was “Cindy Lou” a white and yellow cockatel with orange cheeks.
Sorry I couldn’t be of any help.
This parrot was lost in April, and there were notices posted around town. A friend of mine took a picture of the notice. Let me see if I can dig it up.
