Amy Howell Mittelstadt and I are gearing up for another CWE Flea this Saturday, September 6th. Vendors are busy sorting through vintage clothing and antiques they're sure you will love. And artisans are busy crafting clothing and jewelry, baking delicious treats and mixing up batches of fresh fruit popsicles to cool you off!
The photo above shows the people lined up to get in for the 9 a.m. start on August 2.
A wide-angle view of the CWE Flea at 449 N. Euclid (at Washington).
Photographed setting up shop on August 2 are Margee Frank, co-owner of Native Pops, left and Isabel, who manages Parker's Table's offerings of fresh bread, tomatoes, pastas, and olive oil displayed in a vintage truck, right.
CWEnder Anna Cardot with Anna's Dolci, above. Everyone's favorite seems to be the savory curry cookies…oh but those chunky chocolate cookies with a hint of coffee are muy irresistible too.
Shown in the photo above is the inviting entrance to Karen Weidert's vintage shop, Gather Studios, at 447 N. Euclid just off the Flea parking lot. Currently Karen is open on Flea days only.
Gabriela Figueroa, above, was there with her Caprice Designs jewelry. She'll be back in the same spot on September 6!
You'll see all kinds of really cute things at a CWE Flea, above.
And perhaps run into a neighbor or two, or three…that's CWEnder Maggie Malcolm sporting a helmet (good girl!) with friends who were out cruising the neighborhood on their scooters.
Vendors who will be joining those shown above at this Saturday's Flea are Union Studio, Jenny Walker Jewelry, Kristen Kempton's Pillbox Productions, Beth Styles vintage clothing, Jorge Martinez with his stash of great stuff, Christiane's Handcrafted Jewelry, FlyChicks handmade bags, Lucy McCormac's Gilded Pineapple Antiques, Jen Cullom Guss jewelry, Theresa Wangia's striking jewelry, Petree Powell's repurposed furniture (always a treat), and Sherry Packer's collection, Whimsy Bomb.
CWE Flea, 449 N. Euclid, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 6.
P. S. – Most of the photos on this post have already appeared on our Facebook page (find that here). So this is old (vintage of course) hat to those of you who follow the CWE Flea there…Spread the word and see you all Saturday!
