This is the third in a series of posts about impressive residential projects (lofts@euclid, The Orion) that have sprung up recently in the Central West End. Very soon, according to an eblast from 17th Ward Alderman Joe Roddy, there’ll be news about yet another (huge) project that’s in the pipeline. Developers are obviously bullish on the CWE.
Citizen Park—the new name for The Opus Project—a 12-story, 217-unit apartment building at the corner of Lindell Boulevard and Euclid Avenue, is projected to open in March, 2017.
Citizen Park’s leasing office is located at 236 N. Euclid between Gamlin Whiskey House and Insomnia Cookies.
When I asked General Manager Lindsay Bright and Assistant Manager Dylan Lombur about the name change to Citizen Park, they explained that an Opus Group executive thought the name described the building’s elegance and the way it fits with the luxury lifestyle of the neighborhood.
Despite the fact that a complete display unit is not yet available for showing potential tenants, as of a month ago there were over 100 reservations on file. For now, all showings are virtual, see examples on screens at end of post.
There is an example however of a typical kitchen in the showroom, above, which includes granite countertops in black or white. There will be 55 550 s.f. units that are a smaller version of a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit intended for those who appreciate higher-end finishes but need an apartment mainly to crash when they are in town, or working long hours, $1400 and up.
77 of the apartments will be 1 bedroom, 1 bath 700 to 800 s.f. units that “max out” at $2000 per month. There are also 55 to 56 2-bedroom, 2 bath 1100 to 1600 s.f. units. The 11th and 12th floor are considered the crown jewels. Some units feature 2 bedroom, 2 baths with an office and a plethora of high-end features, including upgraded appliances and lighting, upgraded carpeting and closet systems. At the time of my visit, prices on these units had not been established.
All units feature amazing views of the neighborhood with floor to ceiling windows and balconies on every unit (some of the larger units have wrap-around balconies).
Citizen Park will feature two guest suites for tenants’ visitors, controlled access to the building and a 24-hour concierge service. Parking in the three-story climate-controlled gated garage is offered for an additional $100 to $135 per month. There are also 40 parking spots set aside for customers of the retail spaces that will occupy the ground floor. A pool and entertainment area, shown above, occupy the u-shaped section over the retail spaces that front on Lindell Boulevard.

I wanted to point out an error, Lindsey Bright is the General Manager. She is not a Leasing Agent.
