From Park Central Development:
Mac Properties is pleased to announce the start of construction of One Hundred, St Louis’ newest apartment tower designed by Studio Gang.
One Hundred is an innovative residential tower overlooking Forest Park in the heart of the Central West End of St. Louis. The tower will rise to 385 feet and include retail, amenities, parking, and 316 residential apartments with a serrated façade providing views of the park to the west and the Gateway Arch to the east.
About the building
Designed by Studio Gang, the architecture and urbanism practice led by American architect and MacArthur Fellow Jeanne Gang, each apartment features its own corner living room with double exposures that, in addition to offering panoramic views, enhance the amount and quality of daylight within the units. The design’s angled edges create this condition, which, together with tilted glazing, not only capture more daylight but also self-shade. Tiers of four-stories are stacked over the height of the tower, with a sloped façade that creates generous outdoor terraces for a quarter of the apartments, as well as shared amenity space for the resident community atop a six-story podium.
Clayco has been awarded the construction of One Hundred and is pleased to be involved in further enhancing one of the city’s top neighborhoods. The complexity of the project will allow Clayco’s team to be strategic and innovative throughout the phases of construction.
Construction will proceed through 2018 and 2019 with delivery of the building and occupancy expected in the summer of 2020.
One Hundred has been made possible through the support of Mayor Lyda Krewson, Alderman Joseph Roddy (17th Ward), the St. Louis Development Corporation, Park Central Development and our neighbors in the Central West End.
