The 4th of July Parade was brought to you by the Central West End Association, Busey Bank, and Sysco St. Louis. Thanks to (from right) Central West End Association President Kate Walter, middle, Executive Director Jess Campbell, and left, Liz Campbell, Jess’s mother who braved the blistering heat to roast an unending supply of hot dogs—provided by Sysco St. Louis—over an equally blistering-hot barbecue pit.
Thank you to the volunteers who contributed to the success of the event including Tim O’Connor who led the parade in his vintage red Mustang, and the Neighborhood Security Initiative’s Jim Whyte who along with some of the City’s Finest, helped keep traffic under control while parade-goers meandered along to Maryland Plaza.
