Whether enjoying the scene (above) while waiting for a curbside pick-up at Bowood Farms earlier today,
or recalling the cherry trees in full bloom on Maryland Plaza,
or smiling at a patch of colorful tulips along Euclid,
or a stunning tree peony clipped just before the rain, I’ve come to recognize that the beauty of this particular Spring has taken on a special meaning in this time of coronavirus. On these days when the city is so quiet and circumstances have allowed more time to take in the beauty of the season, and to be grateful for the constant birdsong, my hope is that when we return to some sort of normal, we do not forget the importance of noticing and appreciating what we have in our midst.
