Following a year off, Halloween festivities returned to the CWE with gusto on Saturday, October 30, and to this observer the excitement was palpable as families and spectators gathered on McPherson for the start of the Kids Costume Parade. That event was followed by a Canine Costume Parade at 1 p.m. and at 8 p.m., the traditional Adult Costume Contest took place on the main stage followed by a Street Party. Estimates are that 1000s of people from around the St. Louis region attended the day-long celebration.
Here is the first of two posts showing the Kids’ Parade, which traveled from McPherson to Maryland & Euclid with Cinderella and her pumpkin carriage, below, leading the way.
A rather tall Captain America and hundreds of paraders followed.
