With Thanksgiving now two weeks behind us, the 2024 Holiday Season is officially in full swing following last Saturday’s 15th annual Window Walk and 25th annual Holiday on the Plaza in the CWE. The events took place from 1 to 5:30 p.m. throughout the neighborhood.
To the delight of children and their parents snapping photos, Santa Claus was busy making a long list.
A glamorous trio of street performers added to the festivities.Everyone seemed pleased by the creations of the balloon artist, above and below.
Hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream was served at Kingside Diner.And s’mores were on the menu on the opposite corner of Maryland and Euclid.Beautiful sounds from The Landolfi Quartet filled the air on the patio at Taste of Lebanon.Farshid Etniko’s trio performed at Euclid and McPherson.And there was a rotating cast of young performers from the School of Rock on Maryland Plaza.Another street performer alongside the Holiday Marketplace on Bar Italia’s patio.A second market place (not photographed) was located at Euclid and Laclede. At the corner of Euclid and McPherson There was a face painting artist at the corner of Euclid and McPherson, above, and a craft activity too, see below.
There will be photos of shop windows decorated by artists and designers in future posts, but the excitement of the boys in this photo watching the train go around the track in the window of the CWENorthCID office (just north of McPherson) was so delightful, I couldn’t resist posting it now.
