There are an amazing variety of events going on in the CWE this last weekend of March. Here’s the lowdown:

The weekend starts with CWEScene’s Gallery Night scheduled for Friday, March 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. Participating galleries are Philip Slein Gallery, Duane Reed Gallery and Houska Gallery, all located on McPherson, and Square One Gallery at 4814 Washington.
The evening features an opportunity to see the latest exhibitions in neighborhood galleries, as well as entertainment by live artists and The Landolfi Quartet. In addition, the galleries will be offering appetizers created by neighborhood restaurants including Dressel’s, LaPez Modern Mexican, Brennan’s, and Patty Long Catering.
On Saturday:

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Central West End Association and CWE North Community Improvement District, is extremely popular, so heed organizers’ advice and line up outside the gate at Kennedy Park by 2:45 p.m. As soon as Chief Organizer Dan Boccabella opens the gate at 3 p.m. sharp, neighborhood kids (as in years past) will enter the park to snap up this year’s whopping 2235 Easter eggs! (Look for the lucky Golden Eggs too!)

CWE on the Rocks, a Bourbon Cocktail Crawl, takes place this Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon features 10+ Bourbon drinks served in 10 CWE locations from Laclede to McPherson, live music, and prizes. Tickets are $35 and should be purchased in advance. The event is expected to sell out.
The check-in booth will be located at Maryland and Euclid. More information can be found here.

The inaugural Market on McPherson takes place this Sunday from 10 to 2 p.m. McPherson will be closed to traffic from Euclid east to Walton from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., so vendors can set up their booths in advance.
More information can be found on this recent post or on the Market’s Instagram. The Sunday Market will continue on the last Sunday of each month through November, and twice during the 2026 Holiday Window Walk.
I am also excited about the McPherson Market
