I've been working on organizing craft classes in the neighborhood for several months, and have finally gotten the first one together. Join us for a Needle Felting Workshop on Saturday morning, April 14 led by good friend Kathy Curotto, Lifestyle Editor of Mary Engelbreit's late, great Home Companion Magazine. Kathy's work is also featured in St. Louis At Home Magazine, and can be found in Better Homes and Gardens, and other publications.
Though the current summer weather doesn't lend itself to wearing a felt scarf, who knows what season we'll be in by April 14? And once Kathy—a very relaxed and fun instructor—teaches you to needle felt, you can use the technique on pillows, totes, etc., etc.
Date: Saturday, April 14, from 9 to Noon.* Limit 12 people.
Location: 449 N. Euclid at Washington.
Class description: NEEDLE FELT SCARF

As soon as I posted the notice about this workshop, I received these wonderful photos from Charlotte Lyons who teaches classes, along with Kathy Curotto, at Mary Engelbreit's occasional Home Companion Workshops right here in the neighborhood. They show class participants in action making beautiful felt scarves under Kathy's direction.

Both Charlotte and Kathy will be teaching crafty things at Mary's next Home Companion Workshop in her CWE studio, Saturday and Sunday, June 9 & 10. See info about the workshop right here!
Well, that’s exciting!
I’ll be there!
