Who among us doesn’t need an expression of love these days following so many months of mask-wearing and social distancing protocols. Under these conditions it’s difficult to connect with those we encounter on the sidewalk, but within our pods we can put all that aside and celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s so important to demonstrate our love at every opportunity, this year more than ever.
With that in mind, here are some heartfelt expressions of love to be found in neighborhood shops. Shopping local shows shop owners some love too. And note that most CWE businesses offer curbside pick-up.
At East+West:

Roy Brady, proprietor of East+West, suggested a handmade BodaClay vase made by his girlfriend Erin Svoboda, who will fill it with locally-sourced flowers for your Valentine. The vase, 5″ x 3,” (the larger vase, shown above, is sold out) packed with posies, $56, can be pre-ordered and picked up at the shop, 387 N. Euclid, Friday, 2/12 or Saturday, 2/13. Pre-order here.
