December 9th’s Window Walk offered a second opportunity to experience all the neighborhood has to offer during this holiday season. The weather was much warmer than the previous weekend’s opening event, and as a result there were many CWEnders and visitors alike enjoying the music, jugglers, face painting, and holiday shopping.
Among the musical groups performing were the Joe Metzka Duo at McPherson & Euclid, above, the Farshid Etnico Trio at Euclid and West Pine, and the Alberto Pacino Trio at Euclid and Laclede.
The face painter’s creativity brought a huge smile to an adorable Grinch.
A fire juggler from Circus Kaput performed at the corner of Euclid and McPherson.
The Eye Bar’s Aaron Burtch holds one of 15 snowmen hiding in neighborhood shops during December’s Scavenger Hunt (a llist of clever clues can be found here).
Craft activities included snowflake coloring on McPherson.
Decked out for the holidays.
A hula hoop performer from Circus Kaput in front of Drunken Fish at Euclid and Maryland.
A balloon artist had customers lined up for reindeer hats, which I saw bouncing along on children’s heads all over the neighborhood, see below.
CWEnder Dan Boccabella, sporting a sparkly red jacket, peers out from the Central West End Association’s Gift Wrapping Booth at the corner of Euclid and Maryland.
The trio from Caroling St. Louis shown taking a break at Starbucks.
Thanks again to Kate Haher, executive director of the Central West End North Community Improvement District, for another wonderful Saturday in the neighborhood. There are two more Window Walk events on Saturdays through December 23. For more information on why you don’t want to miss these events, visit CWEScene here.
The CWE looks wonderful this year – the decorations are lovely! A very impressive effort to make it ‘merry and bright’ for everyone.
