This coming Saturday morning. April 26, streets in many St. Louis neighborhoods will be transformed into a race course for 2024’s Go!St. Louis Marathon. According to the marathon’s website: “the family fitness weekend attracts more than 25,000 participants and includes races for all ages and fitness abilities. The weekend includes a full marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K, 5K, children’s fun runs, and more.”
Early Saturday morning, runners will head north from Forest Park Avenue on Newstead to Maryland Avenue, then west to the Maryland Plaza where they will circle around the fountain and retrace the path back to Forest Park Avenue. See map below.
Hopefully there will be many spectators along the route to cheer the runners on. Some Maryland Avenue residents are going all out to welcome the participants with a balloon arch mid-block between Euclid and Taylor.
