Get Your Hat On!
Sunday Afternoon Tea and Hat Fashion Show
February 15, 2015, 3-4:30 PM
In African-American culture, Sunday has historically been a day to put on your best clothes and hat, no matter what your work week. The tradition for women of faith to cover their heads symbolized reverence. African-American women took it to a whole new level of beauty, self-respect, and fashion. Join us for a walk back into the past as we model hats from the Harlem Renaissance era and finish the show with present-day creations. Bring your hattitude and show off your own favorite hat! The smooth baritone voice of Kevin Smoot will introduce our lovely queens with their crowns..
Enjoy tea, cake, and cookies, and bring the whole family!
Hats are provided by The Vintage Haberdashery and Ann's Hats and Boutique.

I’m looking forward to being a “model for a day” with some of my favorite CWEnders! These hats are just great. Thanks to Schlafly Branch for hosting such a great event!
