In early February a group of former employees of Ivey-Selkirk Auctioneers and its predecessors, Ben J. Selkirk & Sons Auctioneers and Phillips Selkirk, announced that the group had resigned and were opening a new auction gallery in the CWE. Link Auction Galleries has since opened in the former St. John's United Methodist Church at 5000 Washington Place at Kingshighway. More on this announcement can be found on an earlier post with a link to a St. Louis Business Journal article.
Susan Kime is president of the new auction house; Terry Beye is senior vice president. Link Auction Galleries is named after the historical building's renowned architect, Theodore Link. Hundreds of people attended the grand opening in June. The feedback from Susan Kime was that the public's response to the new space and what had been accomplished in such a short time was nothing less than spectacular.
